A salon owner from Washington is aiming for growth after restyling her business.

Vicki Hood, who owns Salon 38, launched the business in 2016 at The Galleries in Washington. But after two years at the shopping centre, she decided to relocate as part of her growth plans.

Now based at Valley Forge in Washington Village, Salon 38 is going from strength to strength and adding new strings to its bow.

Vicki said: “We are so happy with our new premises – the main salon is twice the size of our previous shop and we now also have a beauty room and spray tan room.

“This has allowed us to offer our customers hair, nails, makeup and tanning services as well as brow and lash treatments.”

Salon manager Joanne Phipps added: “Our new salon is so much more spacious for the team and our customers.

“We have been able to add a comfortable waiting area and additional work sections meaning better availability for appointments and walk-ins.”

Vicki now has big plans for 2019 and said: “There are six of us in the team and our previous salon didn’t allow us to grow any further.

“We’re excited for what next year will bring in terms of growing the team and adding even more to what we can offer including developing our wedding, prom and special event hair and beauty services.”
